Bummed out about the cancellation of Ironman's 70.3 in Augusta?
Hurricane Helene brought such extreme damage to the Augusta area that Ironman canceled this Sunday's race. It was the RIGHT decision.

But what about all that training you've put in.

Come race in Jacksonville's home-grown, grassroots triathlon, the Hurricane Half!

This Sunday, September 29th.
​
Transition and the finish line will be at the Lemon Bar in Neptune Beach.
​
1.2 mile point-to-point swim in Lake Atlantic.
56 mile out and back through Ponte Vedra and A1A to roughly the Gate gas station
13.1 mile run in Neptune & Atlantic Beaches

What you will not get:

Penalties on the bike. There will not be any USAT officials

Police assistance at intersections. As a grassroots race, there will be no police support

A medal, swag bag, t-shirt or body marking
-
A lighter wallet or credit card fees. This event is free!

Details:
Transition area will be at the Lemon Bar. Will LEAVE transition at 6:30 to walk to Seagate Ave (swim start)

Swim will start at 7am
​
Bike is out and back, 28 miles
​
Run will be two loops, to Atlantic Beach roundabout and then through Atlantic Beach CC. Aid stations every mile (1, 5, and 9 at Lemon Bar, sponsored by Alter Ego Running), mile 2 & 6 at 18th St., mile 3 & 7 at roundabout in AB. Options at aid stations will be limited - bring your own fluids and nutrition!
